Edith Wolford Elementary School is proud of its unique location, extensive community participation and academically-focused students. The school features high-quality staff members who enjoy teaching in a small, rural environment.
Our school is a 21st Century community school. Our program offers a full-range of support for all students. In addition to the Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, our expanded curriculum includes Art, Music, Physical Education, 21st Century Learning (Technology & Library), Spanish and Health programs for all grades, and a talented and gifted program (TAG) for identified fourth and fifth graders.
The unique facet of our school is that we are the community center for Black Forest. Many activities occur in our building so that students are not only connected to the school, but the entire community. We are pleased to be able to welcome so many community volunteers to our building because they enrich the learning experiences for our students.
Our character education program focuses on 10 character traits and we incorporate character education into our daily instruction.
We are very proud of our school and are very pleased to be able to offer the students of Black Forest and the surrounding area a high quality education in a beautiful setting.
