The purpose of the Chess Club is to learn how to play chess or get better at playing it. During the club meetings, students play chess with each other and participate in lessons designed to teach the skills, strategies, and rules of chess.
The Chess Club is sponsored by Mrs. Frost, TAG Teacher. Chess Club is available for student participation on Wednesdays at 8:00 am. The program is held in the library and begins usually in late October and continues through the middle of April. District 20 has their own spring tournament in which a limited number of students can participate.
Parent volunteers are always needed to help in this program!
