What is a 21st Century Library?

A 21st Century library aligns with Colorado Academic Standards and fosters the love of reading.

We believe information literacy is, at its core, finding the right information and knowing how to use it. Libraries are no longer simply book warehouses. They are hubs of information and knowledge that stretch beyond the walls of the library into the classroom and into the community. We are continually building our collection of audio, video and electronic resources that meet the needs of the entire Wolford community. Look at our ebooks and electronic resources.

21st Century Learning Class

The 21st Century Learning class or "21C" is taught by Mrs. De Ramon, Technology Teacher and Mr. Cain, Librarian. Technology literacy and information literacy are very important at Wolford along with the other 21st Century Skills.: critical thinking and reasoning, invention, self-direction, and collaboration. We develop projects in the 21C class as well as collaborative lessons between the technology teacher, the librarian, and the classroom and Specials teachers for our students to develop competence in 21st Century skills.
