Speech/Language Program
Designated to identify, through screening and diagnostic evaluation, those children who require special services in the development of appropriate communication skills.
Areas of remediation: speech, auditory, listening skills, receptive and expressive language, voice, stuttering
Psychologist
Provides counseling, instruction, and mentoring for those struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
Increases achievement by assessing barriers to learning and determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning
Promotes wellness and resilience by reinforcing communication and social skills, problem solving, anger management, self-regulation.
Social Worker
ASD20 School Social Workers are the link between the home, school, and community in providing direct as well as indirect services to students, families, and school personnel to promote and support students' academic and social success.
These services may include social/emotional evaluations for Special Education eligibility; crisis assessment and intervention; functional behavioral assessment and intervention; consultation/support with teachers and other building staff; community referrals/information for parents and families; and consultation with community mental health providers.
